I use a 50g mixing tank an let it sit for a day or so I also have 2 powerheads in the tank to help everything desolve then I use it as needed really works great recomend geting something like that if not on a really tight budget heres a pic of mine :happy:

From what ive heard they help out alot and im prety sure there safe for reef tanks, i was going to put a 15w Aqua UV on my 75gal tank soon to be a reef tank, just havent got the money yet for it but I really think that its worth it. For your 125gal I would suggest a 25W UV you can buy them on...

but y does it elminanate doing water changes, so if i start using carbon I wont need to do water changes or do I still need to :notsure:

I use Oceanic Sea Salt it desoves fast and i have cristal clear water also because i get 15% off at work. I used to buy premixed water from my LFS by the gal but then I decided to buy a 50gal plastic tank to mix my water heres a pic of my mixing tank

hey I noticed that u have a glass hydrometer do you know if its allready temp adjusted. Because I had one before that I had to subtract or add points depending on the temp do you know if you need to or not on that kind of hydrometer. thanks

its probably about twice the size of the tip of a Q tip are they bad, should I take it out or is it OK

I have 125 pounds of LR in a 75g tank and only one fish. and today i saw a little white cotton looking ball on a couple of my rocks anybody have any idea about what it could be.
