has anyone had a tank crash? If so, why...and what did you do to remedy the situation?

IME if the head has started to go...it will. But will leave behind tissue that form new heads. It looks like from that pic that some heads have died off completely but some tissue still remains. This is a good sign of regeneration!! As long as there isnt a large swing in WC it should...

I would have it professionaly drilled. IMO its not worth "expierimenting" with. If the tank isnt worth all that much to you then sure...try it...

Id keep looking....i think u can get more bang for the buck...If you sticking w/ CF units then do some research on low-light corals! JMO

I think it depends on your application. Are you going to retrofit your hood? Or do you want a complete fixture? Pendants maybe? I would say 2 250 DE's would be sufficient. IMO

Its very possible Murph145... seems to be the new thing; Refractometeres give a more precise reading. When i can afford to spend more than $20 a month on my 125g I think i will buy one...lol

I think the inconsistencies are going to be evident all the time. IME No two cups of salt will ever test the same. Seems like decent avgerages though!!!
