Its a visual thing...when it looks dirty, rinse it out...i rinse all of mine once a week. If your powrhead comes w/ a prefilter its recomended that you use it. The pump will pull in larger particles that could impede the performance of that pump.

Well IME i found that they dont do well if you cut from the main stalk at all. Internode or not. My advise would be to let it spread a bit then try and get the entire stalk. The glass is the easiest place to cultivate from. If you can get them to colonize on the glass, then u can just scrap them...

What kind of filtration do you have? Carbon helps to pull impurities from the water column and might benefit your problem but not solve it. Did you rinse your LR before you introduced it to the tank? How much did you add? A large amount might have swung your tanks WC.

Your tank specs would help in answering this question... Maybe a low WL in your fuge or sump causing a return pump to suck in air...??? :notsure:

I dont spot feed mine anything... He gets whatever he can get from me feeding fish and the occasional Phyto blast i dose the tank with! Looks like its stablizing!!! If that ammount of tissue is still there than it must be holding on tight!

the iodine in a toxic "dissinfectant". It will rid your coral of pesky parasites and bacteria... NOT SAFE TO USE IN TANK Make a dipping solutionin a solitary container and then rinse w/ tank water before puitting coral back in the tank~!
