lol..well right now im not using one..just regular water changes until i figure what one i want to use. i want one with like a 300 gph flow but i would much rather have a drilled tank because the thought of water all over my floor doesnt sound fun at all. Well if you find one that sounds good...

Does anyone have problems with these not eating flake food? i have had mine for two days now and havent seen him it a bit of flake food...my lfs said thats what he would eat...or do i need to do something else?

i had a lifereef single in my 29 gal and it was way too big. they say those are the best but it was just to big for my tank

with a 30 gal sump? it might sound odd but with the extra water what should be the fish limit? 3? 4? i was just curious on what everyone thought thanks!

i have a lifereef single 700 gph hob overflow.. the question i have is...should the box that goes into the main tank be full of water? or should it only have enough to cover the U tube? and should the box that hangs on the bank of the tank be full of water or just partial? thanks for the help!

i have a lifereef single, which is 700 gph. and im using a mag 5 as my return. I also plan to tee off of the return line for a gravity fuge so that will cut the return rate down. I havent put it together yet but everything seems ok on paper.

good point on the bubbles. i have the skimmer on my tank by itself and i do have a lot of bubbles

Do i really need them in my sump and what purpose do they serve.... im getting ready to start a sump with just a skimmer and heater and return pump. are they neccessary for this?

its a 29 gal tank...any other info help? im just afraid it will drain faster then the mag 7 pumps. If i tee off the line from the overflow to a gravity fuge or something that will help slow things down...and the pump will work better...sound like a good idea?

the live rock i added was out of the water for like 2 hours. So im hoping it just was because the rock was cycling....i sucked some of the web looking stuff off and the protein skimmer seems to be helping

I have a lifereef 700g overflow and a mag 7 as my return pump...is that going to work? or do i need like a 9.5? i dont plan on teeing anything off and its only a couple of feet back up to the display... another question..can you slow the rate of the over flow? or will that cause it to back up...

it does have an air control valve but i didnt want to turn it down so low that it doesnt work...also i have never used conditioner in the tank...i bought the skimmer off of ----. it also makes a lot of bubbles in my tank..how do i stop that?

So i hooked up my protein skimmer today..and man it started pumping foam up...and well then over the cup and down the wall..soo..im thinking its alittle much...how much foam should be produced and how high should i have this thing going on? its a seaclone 100 and i bought it used
