Those are most likely copepods, beneficial and nothing to worry about. There are only a few nuisance copepods and those are rarely found in the home aquarium. Do a search on here, you'll find tons on them.

I have these on my glass too. I seem to notice them as little white dots/circles, after a few days the center gets tannish, then they seem to disappear and all I'm left with is a little white, crusty ring that I scrape off.... Does this mean I have a HUGE snail bloom coming soon??
