i also see very very tiny light purple soft stuff looks like tree branches in the winter but purple

i was just trying to scrape off a section of it with a tip of a fishing pole it wouldnt even scratch...

i just recently bought some "live rock" from the lfs and it looks purple.. but you cant scratch it or anything.. some spots chip off like someone just spray painted it dark purple... any help?

i have the same problem.. my tank is brand new though i read everyone has it when they start a tank.. but i changed my water to R/O and brush some of the rocks in hot water with a toothbrush to slow it down.. until i get a clean up crew?!?!

guys read i never said anything about tangs and damsels fighting that what the holes or for DAMSELS TO GET THROUGH!

this maybe for a big tank or a small tank with any kind of fish that dont match... you can drill about 50 holes a a 1 1/2 inch tang wont fight through a 1 inch hole

heres a good idea for a tank with two tangs and small damsels buy a piece of plexi glass cut it to fit your tank as a tank divider.. drill alot of holes about 1 inch for the smaller fishes to get through but the wall is anti tang... good idea aye? dont waste throwing away a tang or selling it...

i also got a live rock..2 1/2 lbs for 16 bucks... kinda alot but it was a nice one better then any of the lfs have around here in kansas city.. probably try to get more.. from the internet somewhere bc they seem to have better ones...

i got my R/O water at this local shop for 40 cents walmart is about 10 more mins farther...and with gas prices ill probably just save a bit more time..hehe i got some pictures of my tank with alot of rocks and with less rocks waters a bit cloudy though just got done with it a few mins ago...also...
