    Those COULD be still DIATOMS, give it some time and see if it passes,, Check you water parameters, I think your tank is in its final stages of the cycle process, how are your water readings? I would not add and goby to a "new" tank, I think they much better in more mature tanks,, dont overfeed...

    I think you can get by with a small diamond goby or bullet goby,, the trick to it will be to get it to eat ASAP because of the SAND volume in your 12.. They are constantly sifting and looking to eat some worms in the sand.. I think you will be alright with a small one..
