    Does Fallow work?

Thank you I'll research hypo and tank Transfer Yeah maybe after a few weeks of treatment then I'll add a small container of fresh new sand for the goby so he has something to sift.

    Does Fallow work?

And also hyposalinity alright, I assume you're suggesting this because copper is toxic to the fish and while hyposalinity requires extra attention to maintaining pH it's less stressful on the fish and EQUALLY AS EFFECTIVE? (Or is it less effective?)

    Does Fallow work?

Thanks guys! Since my fish seem to be recovering I'll take my time to get a proper quarantine set up which is adequately cycled. Then I can keep the fish in the 40 gallon without too much stress with water changes. So the 40 gallon should have PVC pipes for hiding, no sand and no live rock. Oh...

    Does Fallow work?

Thank you! So the dormant form on the rocks and sand will eventually die off. Also another question, for a tang, med sized foxface, bangaii Cardinal, firefish, 2 small clowns, small goby and an adult fairy wrasse, what min size tank what they all be ok in while my 100 gallon tank fallows? Would...

    Does Fallow work?

Hello everyone As I mentioned in a previous post I got Ich in my main tank (I failed to pre-emptively medicate a new tang during QT). The main tank has corals and while I was considering removing invertebrates and corals and dosing cupramine and then cuprasorb this seems risky. The fish are...

    Electric Blue Hermit crab molting...?

Well he just molted! Took 9 days in total, must be due to his large size

    Messed up and got Ich

Ahh ok, oh yeah maybe I'm exaggerating too much with the number of spots haha, its definitely white spot. Hmm so now what's the likely outcome for my tang? It'll just get sicker and sicker and die? I don't see the benefit in treating the tang unless I can fallow my tank, otherwise he'll just...

    Messed up and got Ich

Hey guys! So my white cheek tang finished 4 weeks of quarantine. This was only observation however and no medications were used and I used different nets and kept my hands dry in between tanks. I added him to the tank, he was fine for 3 days and then 2 days ago he was covered in many many white...

    Tang diet

Ah ok so as long as there is live rock to nibble on I don't have to provide nori to graze on every single day? And thank you I might get some different colored seaweed then.

    Tang diet

Hey guys, just added my first Tang, a white cheek Tang. I have a 400L set up (around 100 gallons, 4.3 feet swimming length and open rock-work). During quarantine I fed half a sheet of green nori each day for grazing (man he eats a lot I had to water change every 3 days!!!), some mysis every 3rd...

Reed safety of a flame angel

Has anyone every kept a dwarf flame angel in a reef system? I have soft corals only. I'm just wondering if there are accounts of it working out as I hear they are reef safe with caution. I hear coral beauties are ok sometimes too.

Why should I feed more frequently?

Cheers guys! Actually he's started fattening up on these Seachem korella flakes, im a fan of them. And I've been feeding 2x a day splitting the meals, the fish are far less agressive now they don't fight as much as they used to! Thanks

Why should I feed more frequently?

So as ive noticed my yellow headed sleeper goby is a little thin after being away for 6 weeks, I've decided to split my one cube of frozen into two feedings a day. Half a cube at 4pm when I get home and then again at 10pm before lights out. What are the advantages of feeding like this? Does...

    Experience with Seachem purigen

Hey guys So my Seachem purigen is still sitting in its bag in the sump and after 8 months it's still basically white. The only colour change is the bag has some coralline growing on it. I think it maybe still working as between it and my refugium my nitrates are 5-10ppm at most, 0-5 after a...
