I dont want to hijack the thread, but I took my tank down about a year ago and am setting it back up soon. The sand is dry in the tank now, it is arag-alive. Can I use it when I set it back up or should I just throw it out and get new stuff? If I can do I need to rinse it or anything?

That is just odd they make it 15 wide and 30 long. Not many tanks are half the width they are length.

Don't do what? Get the metal halide or hang it from the ceiling? I found a 130w pc that is only 7" wide. It is about $90 with shipping. I may just go that route untill I have a permanent residence and can get a bigger tank.

I have a 29g that is 12" wide. I would like to get metal halides but the unit is 15" wide. Haven't found any narrower ones. It would hang over a inch and a half on each side. So is that alright? Wouldn't it be hard to access the tank having to move it all the time?

When I walked in the damsel were kinda shoving it and picking at it while it was trying to stay right side up. I cycled my tank with them so it wouldn't bother me to take them back to the lfs.
