    Bangai cardinals

It depends on the number of hiding spaces and the tank mates. They can survive just fine if there are few predators and some crevices to hide from the parents.

Best macro algea to lower nitrates

Add 2" of real lice sand to your refugium and it will handle a LOT of Nitrate. Unfortunately it won't do much for Phosphate which is the real hidden benefit of using algae. Look up algae scrubber - it doesn't use macro algae and it's not pretty but it provides all the benefits of macroalgae...

    75 gallon stock list approval

I'm just throwing the idea out there (like I have for 10 years) that it's not the size of the fish that determines the minimum tank size, it's the swimming behavior of the fish. That said, Tomini (Bristletooth) Tangs are not open water swimmers like most other Tangs. As a result they don't...

    14 gallon biocube stocking question

Also keep in mind that minimum really means minimum. Typically the suggested tank size will be far larger. Look at it this way - what would be the minimum amount of space you need to stay alive for the rest of your life?

    Going on vacation

If you're gone less than two weeks don't feed the fish. The major maintenance needed is topoff to prevent salinity from rising too much or sump level getting too low. If you don't have an auto topoff then you may need someone to come in and topoff for you. I personally wouldn't trust anyone...

strange parasite worm on fish ??

I don't know Beth. Internal parasites are difficult. I'm not sure if there's even a cure for humans.

strange parasite worm on fish ??

Those look like Nematodes of some type. Be careful when handling these as humans are not immune to some of them.

Is a sand bed "just" a sand bed?

In a shallow sand bed there is nearly zero amount of buffering. In a deep sand bed there can be quite a bit as the lower areas of the bed lower in PH. Back in the day I did a long term experiment. I set up three tanks with different types of dry sand four inches deep. Each tank was fed from...
