its a 40 gallon fowlr and i do not have a protein skimmer

i have an emporator angel and probaly one of the best fish you can rase to an adult. the emporator angel will graze on your rock all day so you will need a lot of live rock and with a 220 you can probaly do both.

oh and i did just clean out my filtert so that might be causing the slightly poor water conditions.

to update, i have the fish in my qt. the spot today just disappeared on the trigger but not from the angel. the angel is acting normal but still has the spot. if you look at the bottom right of the emporator angel you will see what i am talking about.

i would listen to kenman345. reef tanks are not the best for a begginer. take your time and bild up slow. and once your salt levels are stable(it takes about 3 days) you can add your sand and LIVE ROCK no corals. corals requier a very stable envirnment, and that takes a long time to achieve...
