    Hob is mostly what I have ran. Now w my larger tank that will change. You did mention reef tho so a sump/ref is the way to go.

    Fish are just weird lol . My big tank has naso tangs all the way down to a clown goby. No issues, I add a small niger and its my dwarf angel that gave the little guy shit at first lol.

    Kessil makes a very nice led. Cheap, no but very nice. As mentioned above it really depends what u want to keep. I myself iam looking for lights on my new tank. I'am leaning towards led bc of the overall savings in running cost. The upfront cost is higher tho.

    Now I should clarify my statement. You should test your water! Newer tanks fluctuate greatly. Reef tanks need constant testing. Hence why I've never gone full blown reef lol

    Agreed. I like lion fish but they are huge waste producer's. The squirrel fish same thing. The tank is just too small and too new. Water changes will help keep the fish alive , but a long term solution is needed. Ie larger tank

    Agreed. Clowns np. Test kits I really shouldn't admit this lol but I hardly ever test my water. When I do , I use the red sea bc it was better than api. My salinity is all I check regularly. I have established tanks tho, so no new changes

    New trigger update. After much trepidation, I pulled the trigger trigger!!! Lol I got a niger for my semi aggressive non invert tank. Love the little guy. Eats any thing!!!!
