    Tang Ich

Not to throw too much at you, but if u do hypo get a refractometer. There much more accurate.

    Tang Ich

Remove fish and treat w hypo or cooper. Ich will never be managed, it needs to be wiped out. A 40 is too small long term yes.I use a 29 qt and feel bad for tangs in it lol

    various fish questions.

I could be wrong, but I believe adult size is about 9". I've seen them listed at min from 55-75. I am not against the big tank I just know they will eat my shrimp. Cost for me if I wait and play the "sale" game is around $90-120

A question that has been asked a million times...

Geridoc is a beast!!!!! All his info is spot on. personally a 75 is a good start, same length as a55 just wider and higher. I have 10,29,56,75 tanks stocked currently. Bigger is less daily maintenance, but I do it daily anyway so they fair the same for me. Also the bigger the tank the more...

Ok folks its that time to revamp the new tank. Then restock the old tank lol. Pair of blue throat triggers. Any reason not to get these guys?? Aussie tusk, again same question. I've heard mixed things about tusks. These fish will be in diff tanks, not that it should matter. I would think...

    Fish death

The tang pic doesn't look like ich. Now after that no idea. A qt tank is very important tho. Most diseases are fairly easy to treat in a controlled environment like a qt. With a display tank u have lr, inverts, sand, ect all stuff that makes treatment tricky at best

    Gramma is a bully

Fire fish are skittish by nature so it doesn't surprise me the gramma dominates The Tank. A few options would be the afor mentioned goby, maroon clown, pygmy angle, pygmy hawk fish

    Fish death

I doubt salinity is the issue unless it was rapid. Refractometer is the way to go tho. A water change could help if its a water issue. If its brook or velvet tho u will need meds if its not too late

    Fish death

Agreed, prams, pics, type of test kit being used, type of water, also how r u testing your salinity?

    What am I doing wrong?

I feed macro alage to my tangs so I just keep it in the tank. Gulf coast ecosystem is a good source for it.

    To Much Powerhead?

I hate being "this" guy, but watch out for cheap in sw. Generally u get what u pay for. That said , some fish love a ton of flow, my tangs sit rt in front of my heads. So finding a happy medium is tricky. If your pounding your corals and they seem ok, you should be fine

    New Tank

Honestly don't think live rock means reef. Live rock is an integral part of sw tanks. It makes keeping sw much much much easier. You will need sw test kits, refractometer, power heads, possibly even a bigger filter. I use a 400 pro on my 75. Research a good sw book

    What am I doing wrong?

Well u learned something lol. Thought on your food 86 the blood worms. Its best to feed marine fish marine food. Blood worms are fw. The fact that your coral is fine , indicates it was prob just iffy fish in a newly set up tank. Give it time and maybe try a diff lfs
