Buying fish online vs the LFS

I know and I'm sure there are people with horror stories about ordering online but any time you purchase a fish your taking a risk it might die so I guess it's just personal preference and who you trust more to give you healthy fish

Planning to buy a Hippo Tang and a Yellow Tang

I had the same issue with an Achilles tang you could try adding the new guys in with the lights off or when your feeding your other fish but if that doesn't work you could give the aggressor a time out and move him to your sump for a week that's what worked for me and since then my Achilles has...

Planning to buy a Hippo Tang and a Yellow Tang

Well first what size tank do you have? You'd probably have better luck if you get them on the bigger side especially with the hippo. It will also help if you introduce them with the lights off or right before you feed the tank.

Start up Sand and Live Rock

Are there fish in your tank right now? If not then I wouldn't worry about it. If you do then you could put it all in a big trash bin or buckets and QT them for a few weeks.

    feedings

Well I guess I'm doing the norm then I thought I was over feeding mine since the guy at my lfs said one feeding a day is all they need. I feed mine twice a day with frozen food and algae sheets every other day. I guess I have pods my tangs are always nibbling on my rock but I don't have algae so...

Lemonpeel Angelfish Fish lying on side

Did you wait for the ammonia in the tank to hit zero before you added fish? If you did then you need to find out why your still getting ammonia spikes. Did anything recently die? As far as you angel goes he sadly probably won't make it through the day but if you have some prime try added some of...

    blue/green chromis

I know he's a trigger but all my research pointed to him being reef safe and peaceful and he's a liitle 3" piece of evil he'll bite me ever time I put my hand in the tank while my picasso is pretty much a puppy the nicest fish in my tank

Lemonpeel Angelfish Fish lying on side

Another water change would be a start. Dwarf angels are more sensitive to poor water quality than your other fish that might be why he's the first to show signs. Also I just think your tank isn't ready for fish how long has it been set up

    blue/green chromis

I picked up 5 of them last night and they seem to be schooling pretty well so far. I don't think there's such a thing as a peaceful or aggressive fish any more I think it's all personality now since I put these chromis in when I did my red tail trigger tried eating them and he's supposed to be...

    New/Used 46 Gallon Tank

You could get two Chinese box's for about the same price as the orbit lights and there capable of growing a wider range of coral

    New/Used 46 Gallon Tank

The orbits are ok if your tank is shallow and your only doing low to medium light corals. What are the dimensions of your tank?
