Not an expert, but my opinion. DSB cant be beat for denitrification thru natural reactions. If it is functioning properly the water within it should be foul. Correct me if I am not correct..but to convert nitrates to nitrogen gas the bed would convert it back into nitrite at some point, but...

Would a atinic light work for caulerpa. I currently have 1/2. The light shining in my tank is low, but I'm the kind that doesnt even like to turn the room lights on after the tank lights go out. Boomer or Sammy do you have any opinion on this. Thanks

I have purchased from both Tropical Imports and Jeff's exotic fish. I get most dry goods from Jeff's. Since you live in LA you will receive the next day. I have also purchase corals from Jeff's. I just hate to drive from glendale to his shop. Tropical imports will get whatever you want if you ask.

I wouldn't go near any sps or high light corals. 4.7 in my opinion would be good for soft corals or low light LPS. Any high light coral may "survive" if you place it up high but the coral wouldnt thrive.

I have had one for over a year..it has more tripled in size. It is a very hardy coral. I was one of my first corals. I got it because it was an easy coral. I have kept it in high flow and moderate. Seems to grow best in moderate flow with medium light. I keep calcuim and dk levels high in my tank.
