It worked out; I don't think I had to add anymore ice that evening and I left the lights off in the tank for the rest of the day. The tanks doing great! I just changed my chemi pure and phosban bag out over the weekend. Nothing particularly new though. Just a full tank :)

Right; I thought this thread was implying that LR can not be in direct contact w/ sand. Which made no sense to me

Ok question; why can't LR be placed directly on Sand? I've never started any of my tanks with "base rock"
