    They should be fine... you would have to be more specific but most corals are photosynthetic which means they get most of their food source from the lights... Unless you have lps.

    Good question It is based upon the size of your tank. When most hobbyists do a water change it is usually about 10 - 20% of the total volume... Also everyone does their water changes differently... some do them more than others. With time you will begin to see what works for your tank...

    You may want to change the 7100k light to a 10k light in the future.. but not too necessary right now. You will need a heater also if you do not have one... set to somewhere around 80 F. You sure can get test kits that come in a package.. just search around... acceptable numbers until you can...

    Opus18, You will want to maintain a calcium level of about 420 - 450 ppm... also try scraping rocks with coralline with a razor to help spread it. As far as diatoms... this is common in all newly established tanks.. try a water change and also consider adding some more clean up crew... do not...

You sure can use regular play sand for you tank... although it is a little more complicated than that... there are many sands as mentioned above that can't be used... this is due to high silicates in the sand... and this is harmful...

    you have fish in the tank?? I was under the impression that this was all in the process of being setup... tell me the specs of your tank... you will also need calcium and alkalinity test kits... You can't just does calcium... calcium and alkalinity go hand in hand... I think you need to read up...

    First you will need some sort of powerhead pump.. an air bubbler is not good for saltwater tank... pebble bottom... you will want to go with sand... as far as putting uncured rock in a tank would not be smart.. you will need to cure the uncured rock in a bucket with a pump and some saltwater...
