    I need a picture of a ....

tank that hides the plastic overflow on the left side. See the left side? It bothers me. I'd like to see how people hide this thing.

    My reef control design

you're right - I'm trying to decide what to do as far as PLC or PC. I like ladder logic, easy for me. Not sure which way to go - price wise its a no brainer. Here's a analog input card.

    my new tank!!!

ok - you have the rocks out of the water, which means they are either going in as base rock, or they are live rock quickly dying. If they were base rock, meaning no life on them at all when you put them in, you'll need to start the cycle yourself, with some LR or fish, or brine shrimp, etc. If...

Our 55 Gallon Fish Only Tank (New to the Hobby)

I like the crushed coral. I use it, never had a problem with it, looks good. Its an ongoing debate with what to use, but don't tear the tank down just to change the substrate. Keep it and change it when you do a tank tear down eventually if you want to. If you do live sand, make sure you...

    My reef control design

Go to the automationdirect web site and price it. I've had this for a few years (the PLC, not the setup). You can choose a cheaper PLC, depends on what you want to do with it. They have new equipment, so it may be cheaper now. If you want to monitor for instance the temperature, you need an...

    Mandarin and Tank Pics

little rocks? There's quite a few in there. Enough for 1 Mandarin. Pic doesn't do justice to how many rocks are in there. Its a 90 tank. But you're right - I was thinking of adding a lot more base rock under and getting the wall higher. When I turn on the lights - pods scurry...

    Mandarin and Tank Pics

I buy live brine shrimp once in awhile, pour the whole cup in there. My tank is about 2 years setup now and with the LR, it seems the pods are enough, but I add the brine to help out just in case.

    29 gallon Reef

personally I'd lose the dsb and put a thin layer of sand or cc... I think with a relatively small tank you're losing space by having it and the front glass is unsightly. You seem to have enough filtration to not need the dsb. But if the tank is healthy and you like it - stick with it... just...
