What corals do you not have luck with?

Wall hammer coral. 0 for 2, once a frag, once a 5" colony. I have other Euphyllia, 2 different frogspawn and a branching hammer that has gone from 3 heads to 12 in about a year. I love the wall look but, I have not figured out why it dies.

Has anyone actually been in a major hurricane?

So stdreb27, are you staying? Do you feel safe where you are? If you're staying, I recommend a generator, battery powered air pumps, fans, a window a/c unit and plenty of gas. Figure at least 12 gallons a day. Don't count on being able to siphon gas from vehicles as most now have anti-siphon...

    hurricane Ike, help!!

Get those battery powered air pumps to oxygenate your water, those things are great. We're getting reports (after Gustav) of them lasting up to 5 days. I bought some for 5 bucks that worked fine. If you can afford it, they have some that sense power failure and come on automatically. If your...

    Chromis school?

In my short experience with my seven, about a year, they seem to be kept from fighting by my lyretail anthias chasing them. It would seem that they shoal for safety and also any fights are short because the anthias is the boss of the tank. So it seems to me to be a benefit to have a fish that...
