    I am now soooo confused

The local fish store is trying to talk you into stuff you don't need to make a sale. That is why I just use them for livestock. I would go with either the 90 or 125 gal tank and a couple of bags of southdown sand from Home Depot add the live rock a skimmer in the sump and some decent lighting...

    Have bulbs, will they work??

Paula, You have 288 watts of PC lighting with just the 96w bulbs. I run 2 on my 38 gal. 1 03 actinic with 1 10,000k. Imo you don't need the home depot light. Maybe want to relace it wit a MH light for sps corals later on. As for the PC lighting you may want to run 1 10,000k with 1 50/50 and and...

Hay reefSOE, Where in Hackensack are they located? I haven't been there yet. Klongo, Thats a grea price. I paid $300 for my 90gal with Oak stand and hood. It's also 8 months old. I found it on this board. This I though wasn't bad considering I have paid the same for my 38 gal. New from the fish...

Got the tank, but what else?

You can always have hubby build the top if he is semi good with woodworking. just take a look a the ones on display in the lfs. They look quite simple to make. I'm planning on building a taller one simuliar to the one that came with the top as I need more clearance for the lighting.

Yea! I got my hubby hooked, now what?

They have liverock in the back room. The 90 would be easier to reach over the side as it is 24 inches tall. I'm not sure on the hight of the 135. Where is the verdor show? Good luck with it and welcome to the board.

Yea! I got my hubby hooked, now what?

They seem to have a nice selection of fish and i've been very happy with the livestock that i've purchased through them over the years. I haven't looked at their live rock so i can't tell how that is. And as far as dry goods go I usually see what is recomended from others her on the board and...

    sump setup

I wouldn't think that it would be a good idea. If the canister for some reason stops working you will end up over flowing the first 10 gal. You may want to put the first tank higher then the 2nd and use some type of gravity feed method.
