How do you catch a crab?

Hahaha.. Serously, tho, crabs are a pain to catch out of a tank. At the LFS I work at we had a large crab that was knocking all the corals over in out 180 reef. To catch him we covered the front and sides of the tank with tank backing, and made a trap out of one of those plastic containers you...

    fish for a 150 ?

My personal two would be wrasses: Harlequin Tusk, and either a Hardwicke wrasse or a Jansen wrasse. An eel of some sort would be kinda cool too tho. Just my 2 cents.

    Frogfish

Coco, I agree again. Frogfish rule!! They're one of the fish that reall makes me wish I had a large FOWLR tank. Hermits+snails should be ok with them. They are aggressive towards each other tho. Maybe a dwarf lion, scorpionfish, or a leaf fish in exchange for one of those frogs.

    emperor snapper for 29 gallon??

Coco, I couldn't have said it better. I have heard so many damn people come into the lfs I work at and talk all big and bad about how their 20 gallon oscar habitat is awesome or how his undulate, clown, and assai trigger beat the crap out of his damsels in his 30 gallon. I hate ppl like that...

    Cleaning

Becky, you said that your lfs recommended a skilter as the best filter you can buy? I'm sorry to say but you really shouldnt take their advice anymore. Those things are crap!!! The only filter/skimmer combo I would recommend is the CPR bakpak, which I personally use and love. I would really say...

    Killer Hermit Crab

What are your water parameters? I would always check them fisrt before you start putting blame on tankmates. I really doubt a hermit could catch a fish. My friend kept a red-leg hermit about the size of a softball in a tank with a cardinal, a scooter blenny, and a blue damsel without problems...

    Is hair algae considered microalgae?

Lawnmowers and their close relatives the bicolor blenny are both great at eating hair algae.(and caulerpa trust me on that!) I had a bicolor once and it really was one of my fav. fish. Unfortunately, my heater broke and electrcuted all the fish in that tank but, while he lasted he was awesome...

    Fish suggestion anyone??

Matt- cowfish get around a foot long!!!! They are very hard to keep because when they get stressed out they release a toxin into the water which nukes the tank!!! Really, now more suitable fish would be maybe gobies, clownfish, or other small fish. What I would suggest is a neon goby, citron...

Does anyone else have hard tube worms growing on their glass? I used to scrape algae on all the sides of my tank but I let the back go for 2 weeks and these guys just appeared! I also noticed a few on my LR. I hope these guys get big like the ones I see in my lfs! Theyre so cool I love my...

    undulated trigger tank size?

They eat anything and I mean anything! At my LFS we had to put one(2in) in a tank with a queen angel(8in) and the undulate beat the crap out of the angel luckily we sold some fish and emptied a tank of inhabitants before he killed that poor angel. One customer in my store has a 150 with 6 giant...
