I just pour my old tank water down the drain into my septic tank. Could this cause a problem with the natural filtration in the septic tank with adding all that salt? I would like some opinions on if it's benificial to the septic or harmfull or if it really doesn't matter.

The bleach whit spots are probably dead coraline. Your live rock should be fine. Probably turned white because of coraline die off for whatever reason I've taken out power heads to cleaned them and within a day the coraline has turned white. the live coraline will eventually spread over these...

I just bought a rio mini sun 10 LED light for my refuge. I'm still not sure about it yet. I went with it do to space restaints under my stand, I believe I've had some growth on my cheto but still to early to tell. Anyone else useing LED light's for there Refuge?

I was worried about overflowing my ro water too so I put a emergency overflow at the top of the garbage can and ran it to my laundry tub. This way if the float fails I just loose some RO down the drain and not all over the floor. BTW Sweet Tank

Check your setting switch on the side of the ato to make sure your in the right mode and verify that your float lines didn't get crossed when it was moved to new sump. Also Not sure if this will help or not but I recently bought one and was having issues with the ato locking up and pump not...

To save on costs of all live sand you can do a 50/50 mix of live and "not live" It will all be live eventually

I had a seaclone 100 on my 55gal and was constantly adjusting the little black nossil. I found that if I would weekly clean the pre-filter of debris and airline of any salt creep that it preformed much better. Also a monthly cleaning of the power head also helped. Hope this helps

Not sure what else to do then if you want chemical free but I think its the same stuff thats in the saltmix. Anybody else have any suggestions?
