Just looking for feedback on a good alkaliny test kit. I currently have a red sea test kit for ph and Alk but I don't like the Alk test because it just tells me low/norm/high. I'm looking for a more accurate test that gives me a number. Any suggestions? Reviews?

Sounds like stray voltage, like u said possibly a heater but could also be other things like powerheads, pumps, filters, ect... Do you have a volt meter to test for stray voltage? If so stick one probe in the water and ground the other end. Then unplug each thing one by one till stray voltage...

I found my dump! from now on it's going under my deck in the gravel. And I'll be buying some rid-x for the septic tank. Hopefully I haven't done any damage to it. I don't need the added expence of replacing or repairing it since I just had to dish out 2400 for a well at my rental house.

I don't and I wouldn't there's already enought stuff being dumped into the lake from the mills and refineries. Besides it's to freaking far to be lugging all that water down the hill.
