    spillage and now smell ?

Then don't put your face real close to the rug! Get as much of the water out as you can with towels and in a few days it should be okay. Put a fan on it to help it dry faster.

    Help with lighting

 I agree  You probably should work up to those hours though so your water gets used to it so you don't have an algae bloom. Start with six hours total and then add an hour every couple of days until you get to the full two hours. Also I found I was ok using tap water until I got...

    lr update

I would test every day for a week to make sure the LR doesn't create an ammonia spike before adding any fish.

    My

No Lisa, you can't use your QT tank to cure LR if you've ever used copper in it to treat ich. Copper will soak into the LR and will then be transferred to your main tank. Cooper is deadly for inverts. You can set up a rubbermaid container with a ph and a heater to cure your LR.

    My

If you use LR and LS in your QT when you have to do hypo or cooper treatment, your LR and LS will become dead rock and dead sand. Use water from your main tank and a couple of pieces of pvc pipe for hiding spaces. You can add a piece of LR if you want but that makes of an expensive hiding...

I just received a green bubble coral. Its about 5 inches across and 2 inches wide. I got if free from my son's science teacher. I have it in my tank (after drip acclimating for an hour). I put it sideways on my rocks so that it is facing the front of the tank. Is this okay or should I face it...
