i would stop the oxygen intake from the powerhead.. i have 2 simular to yours and i just took off the hose that supplys the oxygen. also you need some live rock and take out the plastic plants. but all in all not bad hope you enjoy your swf hobby

lol all mine have stayed with the live rock at lower levels.. so i'm the odd one out then i want clown swimming at the top..

i think #3 sounds like it has chemical substance's in. as it would need that o harden the foam but i'm not sure....... if it's 100 safe i might test it out and do a bit of reaserch.

i'm using it as we speak. quite good filters don't use media tho use carbon and sponges only. very powerfull input/output aswell so put a mesh around it as it can suck in the smaller fish or the inverts. i put my intake at the top and my output above water level makes a great water desturber...

how old is it? it could be a "dance circle" a lot of fresh water fish do this mainly the malawi and other types of cichlids. i think he/she is wanting a mate.

here in the uk our lf's remove them via a very soft rubber scraper thats for anemonies it's so soft it won't rip the foot. you still have to be gentel tho and takes time. but to remove one see if your lfs's have a scraper thats for anemonies.
