    you may want to look into a diatom filter to help clear the water faster. Some LFS will rent it out for new setups. its relatively cheap though compared to what we spend on this hobby.

    I plan on supplementing my lights with some sort of leds. I havent decided on what yet but for now the 250s are doing the job. I dont know what kind of growth to expect from anything on the sand but it seems to be more than enough to sustain the corals Ive placed there.

    Ive got long arms too. unless you are taller than 6 feet. I end up clear up to my armpit. but its amazing the aquascaping you can pull off is great with a tank this high. this is ours about a week after we upgraded

    tank is up and about 90 percent transferred. never again will I biuy a tank that i need a ladder to fill the tank with. :( but its sexy lol ill get some pics up later. its very cloudy. there is not gentle way to fill this thing.

    lighting right now will be 2 250 watt mh pfo pendants. I'll probably eventually look into either LED or 400 watt halides. The depth kind of makes it difficult to keep anyhting high light on the sand. Its a long way to the bottom.
