From what I've sen monti's will either encrust (aka form to the rock, or extend out, I have no idea what determines their behavior though) But if they extend they tend to "scroll from what I've observed. Mine eats ALL of my calicium, its absolutley ridculous, my calcium can go from 450 to 380 in...

    Death of a Goby

hmmm in a 12 gallon. You can't have too much, maybe a couple of firefish. Or one clown and a six line..... You could always mix it up with several different shrimps or ornamental crabs. Such as several sexy shrimp and pom pom crabs.....

will this tank fall my floor? haha. seriously!

most residential floors are designed for 50 psf uniformly spread over the entire floor. So since you don't have fish tanks everywhere in your condo. You are probably fine. However if you happened to get your 18" by 72" tank to land on only one joist, that could be a serious issue. (and since...

    Death of a Goby

There's dangers in all tanks. But yes, be cautious with them, if you have your feeder lid open for tank temp purposes make sure to have egg crate there too.

    Death of a Goby

Goby's jump, I had my diamond goby jump into the sump he wasn't as unlucky as yours. You can try to add a piece of plexiglass between the top of the sump and the bottom of the lid(about 1/4-1/2") Or put a piece of egg crate (white plastic light mesh) over the water surface

chaseter's 39G CAD Nano Take Two!

cool! I've tried two flames in my time, never managed to make them work. I attributed one of them to tank temperature issues (when everyone died due to my idiot fish watcher) and the other one to inadequate diet on my part so make sure to mix it up!

    Hair Algae.. gone wild

oh yeah and change 2 gallons a week if you can, until your problem is under control. A minimum of 10% is good when your tank is healthy, up to 25% is acceptable if your having algae issues One more thing, if your lights are over 8 months old you could change those too, and trade out chemipure or...
