Yeah, obviously if its what the aquarist is going for thats cool. Spanko brought up a good point that some may be using the,m as a DT and frag tank.

    Too much in too small

Has anyone else noticed a strange trend resulting from the over abundance of small fragged corals; in which alot of the nano tanks are just full of plugs and square wedges w/ tiny pieces of coral? Sure you want to have alot in a small tank, but it gets to a point where its just a chaotic layout...

    SocalNano24s Tank Diary

Cool, Thanks Nike, good to know. When I got the frag it was completley flat and about 3/4" by 2" or so. All the scrolling and curving has come about on its own. Ok the tank is coming along really well. I've been slowly working on getting my calcium back up, a few weeks ago I noticed it was at...

    Yerboy's rimless SPS build

You may not need the info now, but glass weight is roughly 160 pounds per cubic foot, or for your 3/4" glass around 10 psf. Which calcs out to about 400 pounds just for your glass.... thats heavy! Tank is looking great btw.

    SOVIETTACO's 24g Nano-Cube Diary

Your full tank shots look great a few posts back. Really vivid colors. That is an awesome rock tank I wonder if there is flow coming through the center of the rock in the middle. That crab is freaking huge though!

    The Truth About "Sandsifters"

Yah I'm more of a caddilac margarita on the rocks man myself. Reposado Corralejo with sweet and sour in lieu of "margarita mix" a bit of lime juice topped with some grand marnier

    The Truth About "Sandsifters"

Early on in this hobby for me I was told to get a diamond goby by my local fish store to clear up cyano issue, and the exact process of events happened that has been described here. The goby did great for a while, then started to look scrawny and wouldn't accept any prepared foods then died...

    OUT OF CONTROL Frogspawn

Kiefer, I have a frogspawn in my 24 gallon nano. I originally had it on the ground and nothing happened. I now have it up about 12 or 15 inches; and it is in higher flow. It has gone from 2 heads to 4 in about 4 months. It looks like meowzers is elevated as well. I feed it nothing, because I've...

Ok its a freshwater tank, but I wanna share.

Well I got a piece of amazon drift wood, and boiled it for an hour, before putting it in. Since then, which has been about 2.5 months. The water is slightly greener with a bit more dark algae on the plants. But It does have a more natural look to it now. Feeding time! Maybe time for a 5...

    Bio wheel filters

I use a marineland one as the sole filtration for my 5.5 gallon. recently I switched out the carbon/filter with a half unit of chemipure, and I will probably put the carbon/filter slide back in within a few days. I think I'll do this peridocially to absorb additional nitrates and phosphates...

    Darker side of my mantis

Interesting, I always heard that mantis shrimp can't be kept in a glass tank, is that only for certain species or just a myth? (nevermind just read your full thread and apparantley this is an acrylic tank, the one shot looks like a corner of leaded glass)
