with my nova extreme I didn't really know ( like you ) if it was going to inhibit the maximum reflection capability so I just went every other bulb. I am curious myself if one could bend them to fit without losing reflectivity.

I am happy to hear that you made the right choice in not getting something you will not be able to house efficiently. A lot of people will get something no matter what just because they look cool.

HLLE is Head and Lateral Line Erosion, and I agree, it appears to have it. Although I can never be 100% sure, best to seek a experts advise on here.
