Yeah the sand is Uber fine.. The 40 is about 6" down from the top.. My lights are super close to the water so I would rather fix the sand once a month rather then have bulbs risk failure from ass loads of spray.. Thinking of getting the canopy off and a new one that's taller so I don't have to...
