    Problem with my tank, pictures

170g Tank it came with the house I bought and just moved in a month ago. It's about two years old, you can see what I have for filtration if you find my photo post(I'll try to bump it up). Its got a sump and a skimmer, it had a side filter but it doesn't work.

    Problem with my tank, pictures

A couple weeks ago I had to do a complete water change. I pulled all the live rock out of the tank and left it in pails with the tanks old water. It was less then 24hrs before it was back in the tank. I expected some die off of the algea that was on it because I couldn't put it all back the same...

Could this be the dreaded ich?

Maybe a bite. Before I got rid of the big Mono he bit the little purple guy and it left white marks(scales missing I think) Hes all healed up now.

    White nest things????

Yeah kind of, I'll have pics in the morning. I just scooped up dead algea of the sand bed and the tanks all dusty looking. What do I do with it?

    Sailfin with HLLE

My Large Sailfin Tang ripped his tail fin and has some pitting by his eyes(just tiny) after we had to take him out to re-do the whole tank. The tail healed in just a couple days and his face is looking better.

    White nest things????

I noticed today there's white piles on some of my live rock. Looks kind of like what caterpillars make. Could they be snail nests?

Let me know what you think of my tank, please.

Last two pics. Oh and I cleaned the sand with my water change today(algea died off the rocks from moving them around). Is 25g once a week good for a 170g tank? If anyone could tell me what this next fish is it'd be great And the filter

Let me know what you think of my tank, please.

It's 170g with live rock and live sand(40LB). It came with the house we moved into almost a month ago and I've already put in hours of work and hurdreds of dollars. The previous owner left it a real mess. The Sailfin Tang, Yellow Tang, 3 Stripe Damsel and the "unknown" came with the tank. I...

Yellow Tang In 72 G, What Next

Yeah it's probably best to remove the yellow tang at least until the new fish settle.

Yellow Tang In 72 G, What Next

I'm just new to this too but my Yellow Tang did bug the new fish I added for about 12 hours then it was fine. It's a big 170g with live rock for fish to hide so the new guys could get away from the Tang. My Sailfin Tang which is a monster in size didn't bother with the new fish at all. I'd...

    Tang Police

The Sailfin Tang that came with the tank in the house I bought is absoultly HUGE! So is the Yellow Tang but I think, I hope their full grown. It's 170g tank so lots of room for them to swim.
