Not trying to be mean but if you want help you really need to provide very specific information about your tank, not "the LFS said my water was perfect". Personally, I would be very grateful that BTLDreef is trying to help you, I would trust her 100x more than your LFS. You have alot of time...

You can never go wrong with a bigger tank! We have his and her tanks---and both wish they were bigger.

Did your fish die right away or did they live for a while? Did you have more than one fish in there at a time? If you added more than one fish at a time or didn't leave enough time in between additions it may have been to much for your bioload to adjust. Why do people think it is in your rock...

How old is your tank? What exactly are the readings for you water? What fish have you put in the tank that have died? What kind of fish would you like to have if you get a bigger tank? Personally, I think a 30 gallon is the smallest I would go but many people have great success with smaller...

His new lights are making my new lights look not so bright in comparsion. BIG SIGH. We should have moved the new tank further away so we couldn't compare! The tank is off to a great start hunny! Your fish are gonna love having more space. Still don't think the trigger will fit in your new...

    Slice's 47g Coral Evolution

I have a little glass cup (old candle holder) that I put a little bit of agronite or rubble in the bottom. Put my mushrooms in the cup in low flow. Within a couple of weeks they usually attach to the rubble then you can glue the rubble to the rock. Works good for me. I recently tried cutting...

    Too many fish???

You have room for several more fish if you add them slowly, keep up with your water changes, and have a half way decent skimmer. You can put the sailfin and hippo in together. They have different body shapes, they would be fine. We have had (and several people we know) sailfins and yellow...

    what fish should i get?

The blue spotted jaw fish is on my list to get also. They are fun to watch. The angel will eventually outgrow your tank. The tang should be fine. My fire shrimp does clean a little bit but nothing like the skunk shrimp does-he is out all the time. The fire is pretty but hides alot. It is...

    I want a Dwarf Angel

They would be fine together. They both are great algea eaters so you will have to add algea sheets to suplement. Our tangs love Romaine lettuce also and it isn't as messy.

    my new CUC

You need to give more info. on your tank. Size, lights, age of tank, what do you want to keep in your tank, etc... To get rid of my cyno I cut back on the lights for a while, bumped up the water changes, and used ro/di water. Personally I don't care for the sally lightfoot or the arrow crabs...

    Ordered new corals

I was nervous the first time too. It is no big deal. My poor hubbie came home from work one day and was missing several small chunks of zoas from his tank. He probably wouldn't have noticed but he saw them in my tank. I had one I accidently cut in half with my thumbnail and it has grown back...

    My new 90g Tank Project

Nice looking tank and a great price! Personally, I would leave out the Sally lightfoot and the coral banded shrimp. I once had a sally lightfoot get so big it killed a royal gramma in a 45 gal tank. Also the coral banded will kill your cleaner shrimp. I prefer the cleaner shrimp because they...

I really like that background! I have so much coraline/algea on the back of my tank right now you would probably never see it.

A Poll For the New Hobbyists

It seemed like several months ago the tone of the forum had changed. There were several snide remarks (by multiple people) and threads/questions that were more frequently ignored. There were complaints that people weren't participating but when they did they were ignored. I'm sure it didn't...
