My buddy has a BERLIN AIRLIFT skimmer and that thing kicks out some gunk. It is an internal skimmer though but boy does it work good.

If you have a glacier water machine near you then you can use that water. I have used it for a few years and really like it. It is filterered really good and cost only like a quarter a gallon.
