i bought a hang on back fuge for mine. put a small power head as the inlet and some sand rock and calerpa in the fuge and let it go. i'll often see the fish picking the pods off as they fall back in to the display tank. you wont even notice its there if you dont notice the power head.

My Alk is way high and calcium is low. it was below 400 ppm so i added some calcium is this alone enough to lower the alk? I dont add alot of junk(trace elements etc) when doing water changes although the woman may sneak some when im not looking. any other tricks besides water changes?
