my 55 wont fit under my stand:( guess im gonna have to go with a 30 or 40gallon instead. this sux!!

checked water again today, nitrate is at 20, nitrite 0, ammonia .25, ph 8.2-8.4, salt 1.022, and temp 79-80. so it looks like the nitrates are sitting steady from yesterday. LFS said nitrate will come down on its own since i did the 25 gallon water change, but i believe about 1/4 of what an LFS...

i am looking for an in sump skimmer for my 125 it will be in a 55 gallon refugium. would like an MRC but they are quite expensive, so if anyone has a skimmer for sale that will fit my needs please let me know.

how long have you had the morrish? i want to get on but i have heard they are very difficult to get to eat.

i am building a refugium from a 55 gallon aquarium and was wondering if anyone else here had the same with pics so i can get some ideas. it would be very helpful to me. thank you very much- Tony

i plan to change to sand but i may be getting a different tank with overflows so i figured i would wait until then atleast so i dont make a bunch of extra work for myself. and my question is are these levels going to keep going down now that i did the water change? like i said they went from...

my substrate id crushed coral. i did a 25 gallon water change last night and nitrates went from 20-40 to 10-20, still high. how do i test my source water? can i just use the same test kit for testing my tap?

any other opinions?

im going to do a water change. (this will be my firs ever, can i get a little walk through) do i have to somewhat vaccum the substrate with the siphon?
