    Lionfish can't swallow?

Ditch the krill for sure, it's been linked to a plethera of issues. And ya gotta mix it up. Do you have a market near you with some fresh seafood?   How old is your silversides packet? Mine would sometimes spit his food if it was either bit old. Remember also it may be new to you, but hanging at...

    "THE COVE"

I've lived the scenario of being the "animal abusers". Our crime? Seal hunting. Once upon a time our peeps used "tools" that were very cruel. That was what they had available and it was a matter of eating or not. The traditional tools were used longer than necessary, I'll admit. But some...

    lifespans

I bet you're not going to find a guide that will help you in that way. If you do individual searches you'll find research tidbits that can help you determine lifespan, but other than that I can't think of one. Asking around on the forums is probably the best bet, IMO.

    lifespans

There's not enough people with consistent longterm `"perfect" tank conditions to collect data from. The best thing one can do, IMO, is to do forum searches and inquire on forums how long they have have "X" fish.

    Lionfish can't swallow?

What are you feeding him primarily on a weekly basis?   A lot of times this can be due to a non-varying/inappropriate diet when they suddenly stop like this. The problem, I would suspect, is a nutritional one and there are a few readings out there about fish anorexia.

    Any bird wachers?

I just put out my hummingbird feeder and I'm hoping to "catch" a few. There's one dominant male in the area and he's been beating the snot out of the others. I hope he doesn't keep them away. No matter how much exposure I have to this little guys, they make me smile and stop in my tracks still...

If FW dips where the cure for everything..... but it's not, unfortunately. Like Brook, it won't be fixed by a FW dip.

    Sick Clown...??Brooks??

FW dips are one of the most benign, best tolerated and most commonly implemented preventative treatment out there. It's very effective and very safe when done correctly. I dip all my new fish.

As am I. And many other fish. There are some fish that are sensitive to FW dips, clowns are not one of them.

    Sick Clown...??Brooks??

Oh, I'm missing some posts here because I'm on a little netbook. I'm saying 7 minutes is not too long. Unless a fish has a deep laceration or some other major flaw in it's integument, it can survive much longer than that.

You most definitely can FW dip a fish longer than 7 minutes if needed. Not all parasites die instantaneously.

Could you reword that? I'm not quite catching on.
