Golden puffer and queen trigger in nano?

I know I keep hearing bad things about it (cc that is). The tank is currently being used as a copper QT for ich, so I was not wanting to waste money on expensive live sand that would get ruined by copper. The Golden puffer was a joke to get people to look at my thread (they get huge). Blue...

    Tang Question

They'll all outgrow that. I hear a Kole tang is a tang you can keep in a smaller tank, but not that small. You can get some very young tangs and keep them for awhile until they outgrow it, if you're so inclined. I see 2-3 inch sailfins at my LFS all the time that I think would be fine in a...

    Pod explosion in new tank

GEEEEEEZ!!! That's crazy. My wallet will not be that big for a LONG TIME. In that case it may be awhile yet. Occasionally my LFS will get one that eats frozen food, so perhaps I can get my hands on one of them and supplement it with my apparently pathetic pod population. I think amazing what...

    Pod explosion in new tank

You can't just tell me what I want to hear, can ya? Just kidding. I appreciate the advice. The last thing I want is that goregous fish slowly starving to death.

    took the chance

There are several fairy wrasses with blue coloration. Blue sided fairy wrasse is what I have. Great reef fish in my experience.

Golden puffer and queen trigger in nano?

Well, then any other suggestions for this tank. I'm trying to get a few interesting fish that I can't keep in my reef. Another idea was a pair of maroons (i have tomatoes in the reef) with the puffer. You think that filtration is going to be adequate (with/without LR)? Thanks!

    Pod explosion in new tank

I have been anxiously awaiting some pods showing up since I set up my tank (around 3 months ago). Finally I see some a few days ago (munching on a dead polyp, sadly), and I realize they are everywhere. My tank is crawling with the suckers. I don't specifically know what kind they are (iso...

Golden puffer and queen trigger in nano?

... Just kidding! But now that you're here... What do you guys think: Blue Spotted Hawaiian Puffer or Valentini (or your opinions on both... i know they can fight) Dwarf Lion Flame Angel Added in that order to a 29 gallon tank with a cheap HOB mechanical filter and a skimmer rated for 65...

Well, I can't take it all of of your hands, but I may be interested in the skimmer and 20-30 pounds of rock. I live in Charleston, but will be headed up to see the tigers against wake forest. I guess I'll see if you're still trying to sell by then.

stock list for a 55g new tank

Holy lack of punctuation! I'm pretty sure those fish would be fine, provided you've got enough algae for the blenny to eat.

    Marion Jones/ Steroids

It's a shame, for sure... BUT does anyone else think it's absurd that the government concerns itself with this? To me it seems there must be something (wars, nuclear proliferation, environmental policy, healthcare, the 'war' on real drugs, social security, border security, etc., etc., I could...

    What's your favorite book?

I'm a bit Cat's Cradle fan... really quick easy book, and excellent. I also love The Satanic Verses if you're interested in something more... complex. It's also always a good exercise to read a book that is so inflammatory as to result in its banning by an entire religion. A really...

    40 gal

I have a 29 gallon that is currently a QT that I am planning on doing something similar with. I am thinking maybe one of the small puffers (valentini or hawaiian blue spotted) and maybe a snowflake or one of the smaller lions.

    pics of my new wrasse

Nice! I agree with the blue-sided fairy wrasse ID, as I have one that looks just like it. It's a great fish. I named mine Kimmy Gibbler (full house, anyone?)... it just seemed to fit. Anyway, nice fish.
