    Plywood/ Glass Tank

Like SCSInet said, marine epoxy is what you need to actually paint the inside. Doing the inside with fiberglass works good and I'm pretty sure you can paint right over that with the epoxy. Check out the G.A.R.F. site. On the left go to DIY. GARF It has a calculator for thickness and instructions.

    Calling all experts(Morish idol)

I have gotten away with this. I hand the other customer a book and tell them they should buy it because it has info on the fish they are looking at. I hand it to them open to the right page and point at the paragraph the salesperson is contradicting and walk away. Then the sales guy is left to...

    Calling all experts(Morish idol)

Asking someone how their fish is is only negative if it died. Everyone keeps saying I had one that ate this or that, but they keep forgetting to mention it only lived a year or less. I'm just being realistic. I couldn't live with myself if anyone interpeted even a glimmer of hope from anything...

    longnose butterfly

I wouldn't put a longnose in a tank that is less than a year old. That Hippo is gonna need way more room withina year or so. This site lists the minimum tank size for the fish at the current size, not what it will need.

    copperband butterfly

Butterflies are for very experienced aquarist, and Copperbands have one of the lowest survival rates of all. For every 1 you see at the store, over 100 died in the capture and shipping process, and when you buy 1 and the store orders another, 100 more will die.
