    Problem with Nemo and Dori

Oh, phooey. I agree 100% with the research and while it grates a little to hear Nemo and Dorie, I say, grate away! There was a thread about hearing "those two names" in LFS a while back. I'm afraid I was personally more irritated at the problem people had with it than I have ever been hearing a...

    PLEASE help with trites

I did look back at your old thread and realized that it has been at least 10 days since you first posted that one. IMO, you need to stop. Not just slow down. You cannot "fix" the nitrogen cycle. It has to run its course. From the readings you state, your cycle doesn't even know which step is...

Ive come across some free LR but need to know what to do to not have a spike.

Oh yes, definitely accept. And also, I agree, heater, powerhead and a test kit. I would even let the rubbermaid set (with heater and PH) through a few water changes, for peace of mind.

    I can't find a dead fish

Nice to see you! 250 pounds of rock. 144 gallons of water. And the FFRF is, I'm guessing, 3 inches? I hope you get to post that the fish was just busy...That's a bunch of room for a small fish to explore. How old is your tank?

What is your one best advice!

Research, plan, ask questions. Repeat as needed. Plan on your livestock growing to their ADULT size. Treat them accordingly.

    Reef temperatures

80 to 82 and as high as 86 in the summer. Never diseased. I don't mess with the heater control. If it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality. The tank is thriving. It is an interesting thread because we do all wonder if our tanks get too warm, especially in the summer months.

    Help ID A Fish

The fish is probably an Angler, so called because they have an appendage hanging over their head to attract smaller fish close enough to eat them :scared: The appendage acts as "bait". They are very cool fish but not one I'd care to get to know.

It depends a lot on your life-style, Tony, and what exactly you want the end result to be. If your are rarely home, need a flexible maintenance routine, oddly enough, I would say go large. You have more time between routine maintenances and a larger margin for the tank tolerating small owner...
