    We have a racoon problem as well, but no snakes - I made my main coop racoon, fox and coyote proof. I will send you some pictures. Chickens are really a lot of fun to watch and their eggs are the best fresh.

    I agree it is there for support, I would do like Snake said drain the tank down about a third leave the broken brace try to crazy glue it back together then silicon or crazy glue an acrylic strip across the whole length of the broken brace, you might have to smooth out the joint on the broken...

    Well just for the record I did my first water change with the new salt Aqua Vitro Salinity - see what happens - mixed nice still a bit of stuff in the bottom of the gardage can though - could be from before.

    Hey I bought a bucket of the Aqua Vitro just mixed some up - it says to use it right away, don't know about that. I really like the lid on this product.
