    I thought I heard someone on the boards say that it will prolong the cycle. That was the main reason I didn't run it. But then I heard from other people that you do want to run it :notsure: Can anyone else chime in on this?

    Once the ammonia and nitrites are at 0 you can add the cleanup crew. Your nitrates are really high right now, so make sure you do a water change after the cycle is complete to help bring them down some. I've had my 29 for about a month now and just added a clown fish as my first fish.

    So the overflow doesn't count toward total gph? In that case it would be 620 gph total (Return + PH) which would be a 21x turnover rate. From what I've read 20x is ideal so I guess I'm fine. Thanks for you help!
