Here are some updated pics from my 29 gallon....

Are you using tap water for the top offs????

While you still want to get to the root of the problem as to why you had this algea bloom, I also had one at the begining of my cycle. I put a couple emerald crabs in the tank and they took care of it in a couple days. Hasn't returned since (or if it has, the crabs are right on top of it).

My uncles nano has a bunch of tiny baby snails. Actually saw a clown eat one right off the glass.

The 35 is a little on the high end, but wouldn't corals do fine with a nitrate level of 20? Are most people able to get the nitrate levels to zero without a fuge?

I leave mine in the tank.

My LFS just got in a shipment of percs. Is it safe to buy one today or should I give it a couple days and see how they look in their tanks?
