I currently have two percs (clownfish) in my 29 gallon reef. I wanted to put a purple firefish in with them, but I've been reading that they are jumpers and I don't want to have to put some type of hood on the tank. Any suggestions for a cool fish w/personalitly that is NOT a jumper?????

I didn't realize there was a difference between live and frozen (nutritional at least). I am using the frozen brine shrimp. Either way, I think I'm going to pick up some mysis and alternate between the two. Thanks!

No, I have a RO unit that I use. Now that we've determined where the CA is coming from, what do I need to do to get the Alk back where it should be? Should I add a baking soda solution to the tank weekly? Again, thanks for your help.

I actually just did a quick test both ways and got the same results. However, when I added a lot at once, I made sure that I stirred it up good and let it sit for a minute. It didn't effect the results at all. :D :jumping: :happy:

Ok.... I made a batch of SW last night and just tested the CA and alk levels. Here are the results: CA - 600 dKH - 8.48 Alk - 3.0263 So it looks like the dKH and Alk are alright. Its just the CA that's high. I guess once the water mixes with everything else in the tank, the dKH and Alk get...

For the tests like CA where you have to add the CA-3 agent drip by drip, my levels are usually at a point where most, if not all, of the 1.0 ML are used. Can I just add half of the agent or more at once and then stir and go drip by drip without ruining the results? :help:

As small and flimsy as it may be, it does add much needed support to the tank. I know people who took it off on thier 55 gallon tanks and each one of them ended up cracking.

Where did you get those zoos? I just bought a colony that look very similiar. Lots or yellow heads and about a half dozen neon orange ones. They look great!
