Could be a type of thrombosis which is what I got one time from running too hard. I forget the actual name but I know it wasn't deep thrombosis. I had to alternate hot and cold packs while taking aleve for about 5 days. But if it continues to hurt, go see a doc.

That's cool. I did a major overhaul on my 30g so I hope that I can get corals to start doing better in there.

Looking good!! My Hydnophora stays hairy too and make sure no other corals touch it because they are very aggressive.

I reuse mine all the time but my method of renewing is probably overkill. I have several bags in the canister filters, several ready to be used and several soaking. I basically just stick a used bag of purigen into a cup fill with water and bleach. I let it sit for a few days and then take...
