good fish to stir up the sand a bit? goby?

The LFS had several of them, very freakin' cool. They dart around and pick up sand. They also do not eat anything beneficial in the sand, according to the very few pieces I've read on these guys. I saw one at another site run by a couple of doctors, not very expensive and cool to watch. My...

Tell your roommates to shut up Seriously, the actinics come on about an hour before the daylights and go off about an hour afterwards; moonlights stay on 24/7.

    tank construction suggestions/ideas plz

Ever considered drilling the tank? If you drill a hole, you can install some PVC to drain the water down, thus you have no concerns of having to see the overflow and you'll never flood anything either.

How much Should I be Feeding?

Ah, good, thanks for putting it into context, it just seemed as though it had been cut up. I'll just track down Fenner, always need another forum on which to lurk

    So, New tank......

Aquascaping is an art where I fail miserably, so I'll leave that to the experts :) Now I would caution the angel, they can be iffy, especially around zoos and such. I had a half black years ago that I had to ditch since my zoos kept disappearing.

How much Should I be Feeding?

Er, let me rephrase, I'm not a fan of quotes due to context issues, quote mining is something else and is very bad, my apologies ahead of time.

good fish to stir up the sand a bit? goby?

Yes, although likely not the same creature. Dragon goby is merely a common name, if you do a google image search you'll find both the one you're talking about and the one I have as well.

How much Should I be Feeding?

Do you have the original Fenner source? I'm not a fan of quote mines, they can be way out of context, but I'm always wanting to learn. I guess the real issue is to simply not overfeed; if certain fish eat more than others, we should feed them more. Then of course we get down into species...

    what have I done

I have a 26G trashcan in my garage (rubbermaid, no metal!). I have a hole in the lid where I feed the output from my RO unit thru; I also have a maxijet 1200 on the side (using magnets) near the bottom pointing down/across (as in the salt will settle to the bottom). I will use the powerhead...

    strange sleeping habits

I had a porky-pine puffer that did the exact same thing; just a goofy species of fish I guess.

    what have I done

They'll be fine :) You need to use a powerhead to mix up the salt, how are you making it now, in a bucket or something? What type of water?

    Crabs

I think about 1 or 2 per gallon is about right? Depends on how much LR you have as well, since that is where they will feed. Also, ditch the CC if you can, nothing but trouble later on.

    need help fast!

Chaoscat: don't post competitor sites, mods get mad jnet32: You need more LR, 1 to 2 pounds per gallon is a good amount. This will be the primary source of your nitrifying bacteria and will get the ammonia out of there. Again, no more fish, you're not done cycling. If I were you, I would...

    For anyone buying cheap MH's

The lack of color is actually due to the CRI being low. My 14Ks are very blue, and I'll bet your Hamiltons are gonna look so much better :)

    what have I done

Yes, undissolved salt will make these mad, but they'll be fine. I tend to p!$$ off my shrooms on occasion this way.

    HUGE Bubble Tip Anemone -Problem?????

125W? Hmm, I would upgrade that, the increased wattage improves penetration. The Aqua Medic I bought ran me $1,500, but it has 4 250W bulbs. Is there any way you can see this light in action before you buy?
