wow thats funny i seem to be wondering the exact same thing lol. i did add some red leg hermits and now there isnt much hair algae left but since i added that fuge i have lots of brown diatoms.

yeah i would take it slow, seeing how i took off my can filter a lil while back so i could put a fuge and sump where it was and now i have a bunch of diatoms( i guess this was a result at least partly on the removal) i sure hope that fuge gets goin soon:yes:

i got a bunch of the florida stuff and it was pretty cheap. i think it looks really cool with all the shapes, beats the expensive, big, round chunks of jucky lookin fiji at the lfs. but..... i work there so i get a 30% discount and its on sale for 4.50 now so its not so bad

i was just breeding hedgehogs and selling them at the lfs i work at and there pretty cool but i would rather tinker with my tank so i gave the remander to my brother.

I live in Chicago so i go to Shedd pretty often and it sure is great but i think ive seen some reef tanks in better shape i also went to a small one in tarpon bay florida and that was pretty cool. it even had a shark pond and you got to hand feed the sharks and rays.

ive had a pair of kenyan sand boas in a 10 gallon for a while but there still sorta small and i plan on moving them soon. they seem fine in there now and they dont get really large. i highly recomend them.

if the tanks ar going to be level with each other you could conect them with bulkheads and a union or something and just pump water into one and will just flow through to the other tank.:)
