You can try and use a battery backup UPS. You can pick these up at your local electronics store. They can last about 2 hours. They may be kind of expensive. They come in varing back up times. Good luck and be careful. :nervous:

Can someone help me out and identify something I saw in my tank this morning. It looks like a worm of some kind. It's orange, black, and then orange again. It was about an inch long and covered with spines. Freaky lookin guy.

Sorr to hijack your thread...... how long did it take for your brittle star to get acclimated to your tank. I got mine last Sunday and it's hiding under a piece of lr. I'm afraid it not going out and looking for food a night when the lights are off. So I've been hand feeding it some algae...

What types are the ones that would have a better chance of getting along. I sure it also has to do with how crowded the tank is with fish. Right?

AWSOME tank. I can believe your water is that clear with power filters. You don't use a wet/ dry sump filter? How steady are you chemicals? :eek: :happyfish

So you wouldn't recommend using a protein skimmer in combination with canister type wet/dry Eheim filter. (Skimmer before wet/dry) I kind of like the Eheim because it's all inclosed and there's no chance it can overflow. On the other hand if it's not going to get the job done and may cause...
