    thanks for all of the posting. it has helped me soo much. i am going to switch my water sources because if have found that the one that i am currently using has phosphates in it. and i am going to definately put a timer on my tank to only keep it on like 7-10 hours a day.

    i am not going to use a chemical because i have heard that they can harm or kill coral, which i have a lot of. i have tried putting the powerhead on the sand but it just creates a HUGE sand storm. so i think that i am going to switch water sources for a while to see what happens.

    Hey Everybody

    that horseshoe crab will get very big overtime. but for now it should be fine. the fish are probably hiding somewhere, my firefish hid in a very tiny little hole in a rock and i didnt know where he was for a day or two and then he came out and now that is his home.

    ok. i only have about 5lbs of live rock in my refugium with about a 4" live sand bed in it. this refugium is very small, only about 4 gallons because it is in my 10g sump.
