*You can always split it yourself *Take a brand new razor or scissors *Prepare a place with a towel and a large bowl of aquarium water. *Get your gloves and take the coral out *Split it right down the middle then take the peices and place them in the bowl of water for a couple minutes *Take...

how do i catch my damsel?

I have used the soda bottle method and it worked very well for a couple fish. For a fish that small you can probably just use a 20oz bottle preferably a diet pepsi as they have a better shape.

    torch coral

It likes water movement to help its tentacles collect food. Coral that touches it will get a sting but only from the tentacles. I have Zoanthids and yellow polyps growing up under one of my torches with no problems. Some dont feed their but I like to put a piece of squid, fish food or mussel on...

    Windex Takes The Smell Out

Unless you have learned your lesson and wear gloves have you ever fragged your Xenia or Leather coral and noticed your hands reaked of the coral smell? Dawn soap and other soaps would not get it out? Well WINDEX does! Yup thats right I think it is from a comedy show about that guy that Windexs'...

    Refugium looking kind of nasty...

How often do you feed your fishies? Do you add anything for your corals? Its a process that will take awhile of siphoning that algae out and keeping it clean

    Refugium looking kind of nasty...

Have you been feeding or adding anything to the water recently? Do everything you can to siphon that nasty stuff out. It sounds like cyno from high nutrients in the water

Looks like they only sell the Floridian packages here.... I have never seen a nassarius clean my rocks but they do a fantastic job of keeping the sand cleared of algae if there is any in a given spot. My 1 turbo I have keeps everything pretty clean looking and my Marg's are always all over my...

    maintaining a reef

Here is something else Get a 5 gallon bucket and a good size cheap powerhead like penguin or maxi jet that produce heat in small spaces Mix your water up and put the powerhead in there. Leave it running over night with the lid on just slightly and the heat from the powerhead will act like a...

    I'm curing 10lbs of LR in a 5 gallon

I was always able to get my live rock to cure in 7-9 days flat with these steps Do exactly what your doing now EXCEPT do a 95% water change every day even 2 times a day if you have time My rock did not have plant life on it though so I am sure this would not work with un-cured rock.

    Fainting Goat Kittens

I think your misunderstanding what I was trying to say... This is a very rare thing but as you can see they are in a constant stress. If a dog lost its leg it can manage walking around on all 3. If it had arthritis you can treat that with meds. These are things that I would personally do to help...

I love my margaritas! They seeem to be hardier then others I have tried. These are the Mexican type by the way. Mexican Red leg hermits are also hardier then your popular blue leg. The red legs can handle ammonia spikes for longer periods of time and are an all around hardier species. Dont get...

Is this correct for a setup of a small saltwater tank

The only decorations I would recomend are the realistic fake decos by Walt Smith. If your pet store does not have them ask they should be able to get them for you. I would get rid of the penguin and get an Aquaclear. I started out with the penguin and the peller rusted within a month. Did some...

    Fainting Goat Kittens

There was a white dog I saw on youtube that had this. Its in human, cruel and they need to be put to sleep IMO That is not a life for an animal to constantly fall over like that. How uncomfortable
