The system itself is great-I cant speak highly enough about it. The skimmer worked pretty good but I was running a...
Well I probably should've posted pics as I went along but I kinda forgot. Switching from a 75gal with overflow box to a 75gal drilled. Also swapped out cheezy stand for a custom built one. Before anyone gets too upset-I had alot more LR in the orginal tank than whats in the pics. This prject has...
So I was walking by my Angler tank this evening and found this!
I've had this guy-er-girl for going on a year and shes all alone in the tank.
Any clue on what (if anything) Im suppose to do now?
DT will be dumping into a media sock, over LR frags and finally flow through my 'fuge (roughtly 30 gal) before hitting return pump. Does that sound like good enough plan?
was it burrower and sifter friendly? my concerns are that its so fine it'll compact down too hard for snails or shrim to burrow in let alone sift. The estes brand was a tad bigger grain.
Im setting up a new 75 and want to go with black sand. I've found it from both Estes and Carib Sea. Does anyone have any experiance with either? The tank will be a FOWLER with smaller schooling fish with maybe a burrower or two (unsure). One site I found said that Carib Sea's Tahitian black isnt...
Im running a drilled 75 gal tank down to a wet/dry right now. Switching over to an old 55gal that i converted into a sump/refugium. My tank is a hybrid I guess (FOWLER with just a few mushrooms growing here and there). I currently have a Corallife skimmer hob that works great. My question is...

As far as aggression goes-if he thinks it'll fit in his mouth-its in there. I feed him 2 damsels a week. I just make sure the water is perfect for him thats about it
Ya Im gonna have to set up a series of tests before final setup. I have no idesa what the max head on this filter would be. For that matter-I really have no idea what the drain rate on my tank is-if it could even keep up with the pump.
I have my baby green in a ten gallon right now. Ive had him for about 8 months. Seems like a very slow grower. I love watching him crawl/bounce from place to place setting up his ambushes
No the pump would not be submerged. I would have to rig some type of suction line to feed it. On another note could I use the whole filter (sand) as a polisher inline after the sump, 'fuge, and skimmers?
I have a drilled 75gal tank Im looking to set up im livingroom. It will be a FOWLER tank. Im planning on setting up a 55gal sump in the basement. Since the sump wont be directly underneath the tankI'll need a strong return pump. I have a Hayward 1.5 hp swimmingpool pump sitting collecting dust...
